Beeldende kunstpraktijk Rob den Boer (Rob den Boer Visual Art Practice) creates clear, well-organized websites for a reasonable price. Its design is decided upon in close consultation with you. I am always willing to think along with you.

Management and maintenance
If you wish to add photos, videos or other files to your website or replace existing ones, I’ll be glad to do it for you for a small fee. Please scroll down for a price list. If large numbers of updates (exceeding 25 photos or videos and/or other files) are supplied simultaneously, a special reduced price can be agreed upon.

What does it cost?
I will build a full-fledged website for a visual artist, with a maximum of 30 photos of their work and separate pages for their CV and a description of their work, for a minimum of € 350, excluding VAT. For websites of other professional groups and for small businesses, I will provide a suitable quotation. If you want more than thirty photos, I will charge an additional € 5.50 per photo (excluding VAT). For other additional applications a special price will be agreed upon.

Choosing a domain name
In order to build a website, you must first register a domain name, for instance www.johnsmith-art.uk.
Tip: Keep your domain name brief and to the point, so you can easily pass it on by phone, without having to spell it out! You can register your domain name with a hosting firm. Of course we will be glad to assist you.

Hosting
A website has to be hosted, which means you are renting a piece of space on the Internet. Most hosting firms charge an annual fee, usually a couple of tens of euros. Most standard hosting packages are amply sufficient for a normal website as described under What does it cost?

For hosting, you have to subscribe with a hosting firm of your choice yourself, and subsequently provide me with the FTP data required to publish a website on the Internet. You will receive these data from your hosting firm. Of course we will be glad to assist you.

How do I submit content?
I build all websites in HTML. Photographic files must be submitted in the jpg/jpeg format. Videos must be submitted through Youtube (embedded) or a common format (e.g. mpeg). Texts can be sent to me as a Word document, either by email or on a CD-Rom.
