Rob den Boer wrote several publications about art, especially the artist practice, through the years for the newspaper of the Union of Visual Arts (BBK) in Amsterdam (since 2002). These include reports about debates with politicians and artist meetings, travel reports, interviews with politicians, artists and other professionals in the field of visual art, and about art itself.

Since 2006 he is running an online artmagazine (www.beeldendekunstjournaal.nl) with articles, opinion and news about visual art in the Netherlands and Flandern, on a non-profit bases, together with several volunteers. There are six numbers a year made which are for two months online and the content won't be changed during this time; it's a real magazine, not a website.
